2 Year Photos
If you have been in the gym lately, you may have noticed we have put up a lot of new decorations. The newest are of athletes performing skills throughout our common area. These kids are not random! They are actually athletes that have been with us since the beginning (for two years or longer). They have showed a very high level of dedication and have improved greatly these past few years. Here is a brief overview of the kids that have been highlighted.
Starting by our front desk, the first picture is of Ava Jakobuco. In her photo, Ava is showing just how strong her core and legs are by lifting her leg in a bridge. Ava started at varsity November 23rd, 2014. She is currently taking dance classes and dances on our Junior Competition Prep team, the Elephants.
The second picture is of Christine Chen. Christine has been at the gym since January 11th, 2015. She is now on our Sr. Competition Prep Jazz/Pom Team. Christine also has an amazing handstand, as she demonstrates in her photo.
On the next wall we have Nina Dziobkowska. Nina started February 8th, 2015. She currently does dance class and is on our Junior Comp Prep team, the Elephants. With her winning smile, we all know she is destined for greatness in everything she does throughout her life!
Shiori Kato joined Varsity on October 23rd, 2014. In her photo she is showing off her back walkover with the great technique that she learned here at Varsity.
After Shiori is a picture of Laurence Li. He started at Varsity December 19th, 2014. Just recently Laurence threw his back handspring on the tumble track for the first time by himself. We are all very proud of how far he has come.
Gwen Farm started in December of 2014 and is one of our most experienced dancers. She is on the Senior Competition Prep team, the Leopards. She is a great athlete and role model. We look forward to great things from her!
Lara, Alyssia, and Celine Sibai started with Varsity October 23rd, 2014. Their picture tells you everything about them. All three of them are constant balls of energy! They are progressing in their tumbling and dance skills and have a bright future in the sport of cheerleading.
Alina Fang started at Varsity October 23rd, 2014. She takes tumbling and dance classes, and also dances on our Junior Comp Prep team, the Elephants. She is very skilled on both sides of the gym. Her dancing and her tumbling have both come so far.
Jason Lin, Jacky Jiang, and Ian Zhang are three of our hip hop boys. They all started at Varsity close to the same time, and it is obvious they have become best friends. These boys are going to grow up to be great young men. We are looking forward to watching them grow in their skills and friendship.
Jennifer Fang is one of our older athletes. She started at Varsity on October 23rd, 2014. She is very skilled in many different forms of dance as well as tumbling. She even participates on a charity dance team with other kids from other international schools called the Cougarettes. She is a great athlete and an even better person!
Isabella Olmo started with Varsity November 2nd, 2014 and is one of our top tumblers in the gym. In her photo she is doing a front walkover (which is not an easy skill) on a balance beam. She is a truly impressive athlete.
Charlies Yu and Sabrina Wang are two very talented young dancers! They are currently on our Mini Competition Prep Cheer Dance team, the Baboons. These young ladies are very talented. The flexibility they are showing in their photo is not easily obtained, and they are able to do it with ease and a smile on their faces! You two are going to go very far in the dance world!
We are very happy and humbled to be a part of our customers lives and love to see the progress that athletes have made with us. We look forward to the future and even more athletes to be added to our walls. Keep up the hard work and keep up the dedication and one day you might see your photo decorating our gym!
